Hi. I’m Sasha.

I create hand-dyed, breed-specific yarns and spinning fibers for knitters and spinners who love working with wool and secretly yearn for their own flock of sheep. My customers crave sustainable stash, hate not knowing where their wool comes from, and need regular doses of fibery goodness. I help them use breed-specific wools and get connected to the animals that grow them, while giving them the raw materials to create heirloom-quality projects that express their creativity and satisfy their souls.

I’ve been knitting and spinning obsessively since 2009, and credit my well-being to surrounding myself with as much wool as possible. From 2010-2014, I hosted the SpinDoctor Podcast, specializing in product reviews for handspinners. When I’m not at a farm or fiber festival sourcing unusual wools, or in my dye studio cooking up new colorways, I’m cuddling with my cats, developing intricate theories about Scandal, or scheming about how to get to Bora Bora.

Five things you may not know about me: I’m happiest near the sea, have a PhD in English, love baths and hate showers, adore vanilla ice cream but can take or leave chocolate, and spend a surprising amount of time worrying about the possibility that computers will become self aware.
