Rambouillet Worsted

  • Wool type: fine
  • Spinning method: woolen
  • Number of plies: 2
  • Prickle factor: 1 of 5
  • Suitable for: next to skin wear.

The basics: 100% Rambouillet wool. 196 yards, 179 meters. Hand wash. Lay flat to dry. For best results, always knit from alternate skeins when using more than one skein of hand-dyed yarn for a project.

Provenance: Rambouillet Worsted is spun by Mountain Meadow Wool Mill from wool sourced at the  Camino KID Ranch in northern Wyoming.

Other notes: This wonderfully soft, bouncy yarn is a two-ply woolen-spun yarn with a somewhat loose twist. Because it has been spun woolen, it's light, airy, and fuzzy. Cozy, informal that require softness and/or elasticity will make best use of this yarn.
