CVM. A weird name for a wonderful wool.

  • Processed and spun at Blackberry Ridge Woolen Mill in Wisconsin
  • Worsted weight (16-18 stitches per 4 inches/10 centimeters on size 7 US/4.5 mm)
  • Approximately 280 yards/256 meters per 4 ounce skein
  • Two ply
  • Woolen-spun

CVM or "California Variegated Mutant" sheep are a very rare colored strain of a very rare breed of sheep, the Romeldale. Sheepspot's CVM Worsted is a soft, resilient, and strong yarn made from the wool of a California flock, processed and spun in Wisconsin. It is the perfect yarn with which to knit comfortable, casually-elegant sweaters that you'll reach for every day. (You can find lots of pattern suggestions here!)
